November 10, 2014 Millionaire Fact of the Day: Do 25 Million Plus Investors Prefer Brand Name Advisors?

 

1.     Did you know that the ultra-wealthy don’t rely upon brand name recognition?

 


In fact, only 44 percent of investors with more than $25 million of net worth prefer to use providers that have brand name recognition.  Slightly more (49 percent) want a firm that has is the “best in the industry”.  Just over a third of these very wealthy households require that their provider has a global presence.

What can you learn from this?  Everyone want their provider to be the best in the industry, however, it’s more important that a advisory firm be the “best for your needs”.  Depending upon your level of wealth…you may or may not care if an advisory firm has a global presence.  And as far as brand name recognition…..you need to decide if having a strong brand name in your region is adequate for you.  It may be that a national brand name is available in your region…but maybe the local provider better suits your needs.
