March 30, 2015 Fact of the Day:  What types of investments are the affluent seeking in 2015?



DID YOU KNOW THAT….Equity mutual funds and Individual Stocks are the types of investments most investors….especially wealthy ones….will be seeking in 2015?








When asked what types of investments they intend to make in 2015, the largest percentage of investors indicated they plan to invest in equity mutual funds and individual stocks.  In fact, 59 percent of those with more than $5 million will be investing more in both equity mutual funds and individual securities.  Millionaires will invest similarly with 47 percent planning to invest in equities and 42 percent investing in individual equities.  Those with $100,000 to $1 million still favor these categories but at lower percentages.  Thirty three percent will invest in individual equities and 37 percent in equity mutual funds.
