March 10, 2015 Millionaire Fact of the Day

March 10, 2015 Fact of the Day:  How do Gen X'ers Allocate Their Assets?

DID YOU KNOW THAT….Gen Xers are much more optimistic about their financial situation than older households?  This also means that they are willing to take on more risk.

Recent Spectrem Group research indicates that 64 percent of GenXers feel their financial situation will be stronger a year from now compared to only 52 percent of Baby Boomers and 45 percent of the WWII generation.  So why is this important?

Because more than half, 55 percent, of the Gen Xers want to take on more risk to achieve a higher return on their investments in the next year.  This probably means that they will continue to pour money into the stock market.  In comparison, on 36 percent of Baby Boomers and 34 percent of the WWII generation plan on taking more risk.  Of course, the willingness to take on risk is age-based, therefore it makes sense that Gen Xers are less risk averse.

How do you feel about your financial situation?  Are you willing to take on more risk?  Talk to our Best Advisors……
