October 8, 2014 Fact of the Day:  Most Affluent Investors Plan to Never Retire



Seventy-one percent of working households believe they will work in some capacity upon retirement.  Most will be working to earn walking around money.  Why do people plan on working after retirement?  Well it's unclear if the investors who plan on working to some extent are working because they have to or because they may want to continue to work.  Twenty-nine percent of people plan on not working at all.  Despite the sensationalized headlines we hear in the media everyday, most people still plan on enjoying their retirement and working because they want to keep busy, not because they feel they have to.  But will that change?  It may, however, the recent upticks in the market has been beneficial for many individuals.  The percentage of investors that plan on not retiring ever is the highest among those in the $25 Million Plus Investment sector, is that because these people love what they do or are they work-a-holics?  If you need an advisor to help you out with your planning, check out our Best Financial Advisor Service
