Wealthier investors have a stronger understanding of how Social Security benefits are administered. Forty-nine percent of investors with $5 million or more in net worth (NIPR) report they have a good understanding of Social Security, whereas only one-half that share (24 percent) of investors with $100,000 or less in net worth (NIPR) can say the same.
