‘Tis the season to cuddle up in a cozy sweater, hot cup of cocoa in hand, and sit by the fire! Ohhh that sounds nice :) I am a big fan of all kinds of sweaters. I love solid color cashmere sweaters. I love chunky wool turtlenecks. And most of all, this season, I LOVE a little puppy love!!! That's right, puppy love! In the last two years, cozy sweaters adorned with furry friends have become a winter closet MUST! But I was all over this trend way before then… ;)
I remember when I was a kid, I had this black, white and red Scottie dog sweater that I wore for my 1st grade picture. The other day, I was browsing the web and happened upon an awesome Scottie dog sweater at C Wonder!!! Brought me back to my elementary school days, and inspired me to blog about this adorable trend!!! I have for you below four great furry-friend inspired sweaters from different retailers and different price points. All the sweaters I have picked for you are drool worthy!!!! You will want to buy them all!!!! Enjoy :)
C. Wonder Scottie Intarsia Sweater
About a year ago, I was watching "The View", and Elizabeth Hasselback had on this adorable beige Scottie dog sweater, and I lost it!!! I started looking all over online for this sweater and just presumed it was JCrew.
Well after bothering the folks at JCrew, unsuccessfully trying to convince them that they carried an item that they never had in stock, I found it on this site called C. Wonder. For those of you who are not familiar with C. Wonder, it is a ridiculously adorable store that carries the cutest stuff you have ever seen. However, I have a few mixed feelings about the brand because... (THERE'S A STORY HERE) Tory Burch is one of my favorite designers. I think she is the greatest woman ever and designs some of the most beautiful, well-made products. Well this store was opened by her Ex-husband as sort of a... you know... So, I love their stuff but still feel I have to be loyal to my girl Tory. BUT that doesn't mean you shouldn't snag up some of their adorable sweaters for yourself! I found the same sweater Elizabeth had on last year redone by C. Wonder in white with a black Scottie dog and red elbow patches!!

Stop it right!!! So darn cute!! Recently on sale for $44 as part of their flash sale!
JCrew French Bulldog Sweater and Marc Jacobs "Olive" Dog Intarsia Sweater
I am a huge fan of the French bulldog and would get one in a second if my husband would let me have a third dog :( I think you can NEVER have too many dogs :) This super cozy, dark gray, cashmere blend sweater is from JCrew, winter 2012.
But don’t worry; you can still purchase this sweater. I found it on eBay from nearly 100 different sellers for $69-74!! Yeah!! You really can find anything on eBay... I could probably search “Grandma for a day,” or something equally ridiculous and I am sure something would pop up! If eBay shopping isn’t your style, I also found an awesome French bulldog sweater by Marc Jacobs at Nordstrom.
It is light gray, cotton sweater with a black outline of a sweet French bulldog. You can purchase it today for $158.40. If neither if these are in your price range… NO worries :) Kohls.com also has a variety of dog sweaters by Lauren Conrad and Croft and Barrow that are more budget-friendly options :)

Prices start at $29- $39 for this paw perfect trend!!
Burberrry Dachshund Hound Sweater
I love my Burberry cashmere blend Dachshund Hound Sweater!!! It is especially cute because the Dachshund Hound is wearing a French beret! This sweater runs a little small, so order a size or two up if you plan to shop for it online. To give you an idea of the size, at JCrew, I wear a X-Small or Small, but I needed a Medium in this sweater. It is a bit pricey for a dog sweater, but it is Burberry so I was willing to splurge.
Full price, this sweater is $495, but I bought it during Neiman Marcus' 30% off sale for $347. If you can afford it, this sweater will not let you down!! Sometimes, I’m willing to shell out the big bucks for a sweater or shirt I’ve fallen in love with because chances are, I won’t show up to lunch, matching my date. Seriously, I have matched my sister at nearly 5 different events, and it makes me crazy!!!! And just the other day (I swear, I am not making this up), I went to a friend's house and not only did she have on the same green and navy, polka dot sweater from JCrew 2012, but we had both paired it with a crisp, white collared shirt!!! I know what you're thinking... privileged people problems. But seriously! Check your local Neiman Marcus for Upcoming sales to grab this unique sweater :)
JCrew Outlet Cat Sweater
So maybe you are a dogs drool and cats rule kind of lady? Well if this is the case... JCrew outlet has the purrrrfect look for you!! The merino wool, crew neck sweater comes in navy, but the kitty in front is gold with a striped tail.

I first saw this sweater when I was Christmas shopping last year with my dear friends Holly and Alissa. Usually I shop 20% for others, and 80% for myself, so of course I tried it on and loved it! It ran true to size and was not itchy... Score!!! I would have bought it, but... I had just purchased the French Bulldog sweater from JCrew, and also picked up a Golden Retriever sweater from Anthropologie. No one wants to be that crazy animal sweater lady, ya know? So, I passed. It was $98 then, but today you can snatch it up for $62 at the JCrew Outlet stores. Great Christmas present for your sister, niece, or even yourself!!!
Well, now that we have covered cats, dogs and how much we LOVE them... I hope you’re inspired you to buy a trendy, holiday puppy or kitty sweater for yourself or a loved one. But if you are looking for a tacky sweater for that crazy holiday party, shop somewhere else, because I think the styles I’ve picked for you are far too cute! I don't ever want to be a fashion don't.... but sometimes what I might find adorable, someone else might find silly :) So here is to those of us who like to wear our pooches!!! From Millionaire Corner, I'm Heather Kiely reminding you to keep your investments where you can see them - in your closet of course!!!
